Mimi's Cafe is a national restaurant franchise and this particular project is located in Concord, CA. Strategically located in an area that is commonly referred to as the "Gateway to Concord," this project was under close observation by city officials, as the project involved the redevelopment of a portion of the Park & Shop area. The project involved the demolition of an existing restaurant in conjunction with the construction of a new restaurant facility, along with the associated on-site improvements.
Milani and Associates served as the project engineer and surveyor for SWH Corporation, the developer. Milani and Associates assisted the client by providing engineering services, and utilized the company's experience and relationship with the City of Concord planning and engineering staff, to guide the client toward successful project approvals and completion under a "very tight" and aggressive development timeline.
Milani and Associates is currently working with SWH Corporation in the development approval and construction of a similar Mimi's facility in the City of Hayward.
