Joint Trench Design
NEW! The Joint Trench Design team at Milani & Associates takes the lead in coordinating the “dry” utilities with all other aspects of the project. With the current trend towards denser projects, a higher degree of coordination with the utility companies and “team” members becomes increasingly important and should begin early in the design process. Coordination is a key component to making any project successful. As part of a “full service” engineering company, the Joint Trench team at Milani & Associates takes a unique approach to the design and layout of Joint Trench facilities applying a higher degree of accuracy in keeping with traditional engineering practices. This approach prevents untimely and often costly issues during the design process and in the field. As an alternative to PG&E providing the gas and electric engineering, the Joint Trench Design team at Milani & Associates specializes in “Applicant Design” providing “in-house” gas and electric engineering. Since 1996, developers have had the option of utilizing a Joint Trench firm such as Milani & Associates to provide gas and electric engineering (“Applicant Design”), giving developers the ability to save time in the engineering process and to work closely with designers in the placement of utility equipment, in areas such as entry features, intersections, etc., avoiding unnecessary conflicts. The joint trench team at Milani & Associates takes pride in providing a quality service that will achieve the goals of our clients. Milani & Associates complete Joint Trench services include:
*Rule 20B and C projects can be “applicant design” if they are associated with a new business project. **Rule 20A projects do not fall under the “applicant design” option and must be designed by PG&E. |
